’La Ciripa’ is a bag created from repurposing an ancient cotton sack used for cereal transport, a practice dating back to around the 1950s. The bag features hand-embroidered perpendicular lines in a simple red cotton thread, inspired by the works of Anni Albers, a weaver from the Bauhaus era.
The entire bag is hand-quilted with many small red stitches and is made from a cotton and linen fabric originally designed as a fabric absorbent, known as 'ciripa.
The bag is equipped with a magnetic button for easy closure, and it comes with a removable red crochet shoulder strap."
