‘La Matilda’ is a purse crafted from cotton and linen fabric that was reclaimed from an antique handwoven sheet dating back about a century.
The design features an embroidered quote on one side, adorned with delicate hand-painted flowers accented with MIYUKI beads, some of which are gold-plated. Small flowers are also painted on the back of the bag.
The clasp is a meticulously hand-fixed CLIC CLAC metal closure, secured with shoemaker's hen thread, which is the same thread used to create the festoon-stitched side strap.
